Columbia and Highland both win to remain unbeaten

Lou Isringhausen rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Columbia Eagles past the Central Cougars 24-6 in a Cahokia Conference game.

The Eagles are 7-0 overall, 5-0 in league play.

The Eagles also got an 8-yard touchdown run from Brock McGowan and a 22-yard field goal from Tim Sippel.

The Cougars ended the shutout with a 1-yard touchdown pass from Josh Dunning to Dalton Smith with 13 second to go.

Highland 48, Waterloo 17

Mack Waldman threw for 193 yards and four touchdowns as Highland remained unbeaten with a Mississippi Valley Conference win over Waterloo.

Waldman threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Brandan Sands, a 25-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Winning, a 2-yard TD pass to Caleb McKee and a 29-yard scoring pass to Blake Hustedde.

Highland also rushed for 255 yards with Gage Geiger leading the way with nine carries for 100 yards.

Rick Wiegand had a 1-yard touchdown run and Zach Kilwin had a 6-yard touchdown run for Waterloo.

East St. Louis 26, Alton 13

Gregory Taylor rushed for 124 yards a touchdown and Nate Strong rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns as the East St. Louis Flyers beat the Aton Redbirds in a Southwestern Conference game.

The Flyers (4-3, 3-2) also got a 15-yard touchdown pass from Dominic Nelson to Kyron Watson.

Freeburg 48, Wesclin 6

The Freeburg Midgets amassed 471 yards of offense in beating the Wesclin Warriors in a Cahokia Conference game.

Qyarterback Joseph Wolf completed 9 of 12 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns for the Midgets (4-3, 2-3).

The Midgets also had 329 rushing yards with Keegan Baxmeyer and Robby Vail each running for 71 yards to lead the way.

Wolf threw touchdown passes to Jack Hogan, Jacob Homann and Robby Vail and Michael Smith had touchdown runs of 3 and 5 yards as the Midgets rolled out to 34-6 halftime lead.

Wesclin's lone score came on a 63-yard touchdown run by Justin Goff.

Mater Dei 14, Priory 12

Sam Toennies threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns as the Mater Dei Knights turned back Priory.

Toennies connected on a 16-yard touchdown pass to Nick Hitpas in the second quarter and an 8-yard touchdown pass to Ben Lampe in the third quarter.

Priory had an unsuccessful two-point conversion pass after scoring with 2:03 left in the fourth quarter.

Red Bud 42, Wood River 0

Addison Hunter completed 10 of 11 passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns as the Red Bud Musketeers beat the Wood River Oilers.

Gunter threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Trey Hentis, a 30-yard touchdown pass to Mason Wren and a 13-yard touchdown pass to Brett Cleveland.
