What's out there: Mugs, pillows and rugs!

October 13, 2013

Just the ticket: Whether you have a media room in your home filled with a big-screen TV and comfy chairs, or just want to add fun film decor to your family room, these pillows are the ticket. Each is $12.99 and sold at the newly opened Kirkland's, located on the St. Clair Square property in Fairview Heights. Look for the standalone building on the mall parking lot closest to Illinois 159, around the corner from Joseph A. Banks.

Fall decor: Garden Ridge in O'Fallon is full of inexpensive decorations for autumn and Halloween. These heavy-duty rubber outdoor mats are $7.99 each.

Fun mugs: these mugs can do double duty, when not in use, as Halloween decorations. Called Topsy Turvey mugs, what you see is a scary trio sitting upside down. Flip them over and they're drinking mugs. Each is $9.95. You'll find them in the cafe inside Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Fairview Heights.
