Highland teen dies while visiting friend at Mizzou

A Highland teenager died Sunday morning after being found unresponsive in a residence hall at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.

Gregory G. Holthaus, 18, was found unconscious and not breathing in a residence hall on the university campus at 9:07 a.m., according to campus police. Holthaus was visiting a resident of the hall.

Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures and transported Holthaus to the University Hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are interviewing friends and others as part of an ongoing investigation, though, police say there is no indication of foul play at this time.
