East St. Louis woman killed in St. Louis bar shooting

Associated PressOctober 14, 2013

— St. Louis police are looking for suspects in the deaths of two people at a bar, including an East St. Louis woman.

Police say the two victims were at Startz Bar separately when shootings began early Sunday.

The victims were identified as 32-year-old Kemesa Newble of East St. Louis and 45-year-old Timothy Blair of north St. Louis County.

Police say a fight began inside the bar and all of the patrons were asked to leave.

Blair was standing with a group of men when he was shot in the abdomen by an unknown male. Newble was inside her car when she was caught in a crossfire between two men. Both died later at St. Louis hospitals.

The suspects fled on foot.
