Stop the violations

October 14, 2013

I am writing because I feel law enforcement personnel need to step up and stop so many, many, many people turning right on red traffic lights without coming to a complete stop. Some drivers do slow down but the majority don't even do that, probably because they see our law enforcement people doing the same thing. Also, so many people are not coming to a stop for stop signs.

Both these problems are becoming very dangerous for other drivers. I have heard many times how poor St. Clair County is; well, law enforcement could make a bundle if they enforced the laws concerning these problems.

In Missouri they use cameras at intersections and give out tickets that cost $100 for people not coming to a complete stop when required by law.
