Cartoonist misses the point

October 14, 2013

Recently one of the sub-par cartoonists the BND uses as a substitute for Glenn McCoy had a cartoon that depicted a pollster taking confused and ignorant responses as votes against Obamacare. As much as the cartoon meant to discredit Republicans' growing support, it reminded me of the initial debate when the bill was passed. Wasn't it Nancy Pelosi who said: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy." Who is promoting ignorance?

The Republican Party has my support for as long as it tries to shut down this monstrosity. As far as the GOP shutting down the government too: Well, we need a break from them anyway.

As for the BND, you should stick to using professionals like McCoy. If you are going to pay for fourth-rate cartoonists, you might spare us from viewing this much ignorance by holding a contest for cartoons at a local grade school. It would probably be cheaper, anyway.
