Swansea considers hiring new village administrator

News-DemocratOctober 15, 2013

The Village of Swansea board of trustees will hold a special meeting Wednesday at the Swansea Government Center.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the government center at 1400 N. Illinois St. so trustees can discuss the hiring of a new village administrator. The village is trying to replace the former administrator who left the $90,000 position about a year ago. Former village administrator John Openlander, who was hired in 2008, submitted his resignation to the village board in September 2012. He left on Nov. 9 to take a city administrator position in another state.
