Cold -- but hopefully dry -- weather for Game 6

News-DemocratOctober 18, 2013

Skies will be mostly sunny Friday morning and afternoon in the metro-east with a high temperature of 62 degrees.

But the weather could be much less pleasant for Game 6 of the National League Championship Series Friday night at Busch Stadium, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast calls for temperature to be about 54 degrees at game time and 49 by the time the game ends around 10:30 p.m.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain Friday night, but the wet weather isn't expected to arrive until after 10 p.m. So it appears the game will be played, though fans should bring wet- weather gear just in case.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny this weekend with a high of 61 degrees Saturday and a high of 69 on Sunday.

The St. Louis Cardinals are playing the Los Angeles Dodgers in the sixth game of the NLCS; if St. Louis wins the Redbirds play in Detroit or Boston in Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday. If Los Angeles wins, an NLCS Game 7 will be played at 7:37 p.m. Saturday at Busch Stadium.
