Miami (Ohio) junior Kelsey Dinges, an Althoff High graduate from Smithton, has been named Mid-American Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Dinges scored three of her team's four goals last weekend, helping lead the Redhawks to a pair of shutout wins as they took over first place in the MAC East Division.

Miami defeated Northern Illinois and Toledo by the same 2-0 score as the Redhawks (8-6-2) recorded their ninth shutout and stretched their unbeaten streak to seven straight games.

Dinges has six goals and five assists in 16 games.

Recently moving from midfielder to forward, Dinges had one goal against Northern Illinois on Friday, then scored two against Toledo on Sunday.

This is Dinges' second MAC Offensive Player of the Week honor. She has 19 career goals in 58 games at Miami after becoming the first Illinois high school player to record 100 goals and 100 assists while at Althoff.
