Hard freeze is expected Thursday night

The first hard freeze of the season is expected Thursday night into Friday morning as temperatures as low as 28 degrees arrive in the metro-east.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory that runs through 9 a.m. Friday.

During the day Thursday there will be decreasing clouds with a high temperature of 49. On Friday it will be 52 with mostly sunny skies. Friday night it will be mostly clear with a low of 34.

Temperatures will warm up Saturday with a high of 62 under mostly sunny skies, still about five degrees lower than the average high for this time of year, 67. The temperature will drop to a low of 37 Saturday night.
