Rainy days ahead for the metro-east

Rain is in the forecast for the metro-east over the next three days and the National Weather Service warns severe storms could be in the mix.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain Tuesday with showers expected between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. The high Tuesday will be 59.

Tuesday night there is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms. The low temperature is expected to be 54.

A 60 percent chance of thunderstorms continues Wednesday with a high of 73.

Wednesday night the chance of thunderstorms will increase to 80 percent with a low of 60. A 90 percent chance of thunderstorms is in the forecast for Thursday.
