Anheuser-Busch InBev reported revenue of $11.7 billion for the third quarter was up 14 percent from the $10.3 billion it reported in the third quarter of 2012. The St. Louis Business Journal reports that the brewery's profit of $2.8 billion was 20.8 percent higher from the $2.3 billion reported in the prior-year quarter. Europe's largest oil company saw its third quarter earnings fall due to weaker demand for fuel and a drop in output. Earnings of Royal Dutch Shell PLC fell to $4.25 billion from $6.15 billion in the same quarter a year ago. Net profit also fell to $4.68 billion from $7.16 billion. Beginning next month, a temporary benefit from the 2009 economic stimulus that boosts food stamp dollars will no longer be available.
