Let's talk about Hoffman

November 7, 2013

Let's talk about what Democrat state Rep. Jay Hoffman is and what he is not.

Hoffman is a career politician who will flip-flop on any issue that may increase his chance of getting re-elected to keep himself at the public food trough, where we provide him all the perks he gets and a grossly overpaid salary and someday a pension.

Hoffman is not a "practicing Catholic," contrary to his opinion if he told Nolan Clayton who recently wrote the BND that he was. If he does happen to attend a Mass at any Catholic Church, he should not be allowed to receive communion; the same for Gov. Pat Quinn, who just cannot wait to sign the gay marriage bill.

I admire each legislator who had the courage to stand up for what is right. I am very proud of Republican Dwight Kay, who referred to the Bible and Scripture as clearly stating that same-sex marriage is wrong.

Just because legislators passed a law legalizing same-sex marriage, that does not make it a marriage anymore than Hoffman sitting in a church makes him a Catholic. Where would our nation or world, for that matter, be if all leaders allowed God to guide them? Imagine what a better world we would have.

I will pray for them, as they will sure need God's forgiveness and mercy for the sin they just committed.
