What's out there: Wood accessories and Scrabble letters

November 10, 2013

Wood accessories: They add warmth to a kitchen while being practical at the same time. This bamboo utensil holder from Giada is $12.99 and found at Target in Belleville (as well as other locations). In the holder, the cherrywood short turner and the basting spoon are sturdy and won't absorb heat while cooking. They're made by Kitchen-Aid and cost $9.99 each.

Scrabble letters: Pick a letter. Any letter. Or more than one. Than hang it on a chain. These Scrabble tiles (and typewriter keys) have pendant loops on the back so you can do just that. Each is $8 at Pairabelles, 200 W. Main St., in downtown Belleville. It's a unique way to wear your monogram and includes a chain.
