Marvin & Lil Maedge will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on December 8, 2013. They were married at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD. The Rev. Henry W. Sank performed the ceremony Dec. 5, 1953.

Marvin is a retired farmer and Mary Lillian, nee Williams, is a homemaker. She grew up in Hughesville, MD. She retired from the Times Tribune paper in Troy and likes to do crafts.

Their family includes three sons and one daughter: Wayne Ronald (Angie) Maedge of Highland, Michael Alan (Susan) Maedge of Highland, Todd Kent (Beth) Maedge of Marine and Tami (Alan) Rode of Highland.

Grandchildren: Jami (Scott) Dressler of Highland, Michelle Maedge of Edwardsville, Dana (Jared) Suhre of Hamel, Brent Maedge of Highland, Travis (Lauren) Maedge of Highland, Tara (Bryan) McKinney of Pocahontas, Tyler Maedge of Highland, Kassie Maedge of Marine, Kourtney Maedge of Marine, Kyle Maedge of Marine, Amber Rode of Highland, Devin Rode of Highland.

Great Grandchildren: Taylor, Morgan and Parker Dressler, Aubrey and Addison McKinney, Devin Moore and Aiden Suhre.

The couple celebrated in February with a flight to MD to visit her family and attend a class reunion of Lil’s in Waldorf, MD.

The couple will celebrate with family and friends at the Marine Lion’s Club in Marine with an open house from 1 to 4 on Sunday, December 8, 2013. 406 E Division Street, Marine.

The couple requests no gifts.
