Columbia police are investigating a report that two men were robbed at gunpoint by five men about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Meadow Ridge Park.

After receiving a description of the suspects and their vehicle, police officers and Monroe County sheriff's deputies stopped the vehicle on Illinois Route 3 at Hill Castle Road. Police located four of the five men in the vehicle.

Officers arrested: Colin E. Morton, 17, of Millstadt, and Paul M. West, 17, of Millstadt. They and two juveniles were taken to the Columbia City Jail. They were charged with one count of armed robbery.

On Sunday, a fifth suspect, a juvenile, was taken into custody at a Millstadt residence by Columbia detectives. All three juvenile suspects were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Belleville.

Morton and West were transported to the Monroe County Jail. They are expected to be arraigned Tuesday. If convicted, they could face 6-30 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
