AT&T waives long-distance fees to the Philippines

News-DemocratNovember 12, 2013

AT&T has announced that it will not charge customers for long-distance calls and texting to the Philippines through the end of the month.

The Dallas-based company is the latest business to lend its support to Americans who have family and friends in the Southeast Asia country, which was ravaged by a typhoon last weekend. AT&T also is donating $25,000 to AmeriCares as another way to support relief efforts.
