Washington Park felon sentenced for gun possession

A Washington Park man has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Terrell A. Rey, 28, of Washington Park, was arrested Oct. 28, 2012 when officers came to his home and found him with a gun in the back pocket of his pants, U.S. District Attorney Stephen Wigginton said Wednesday.

In addition to the prison time, Rey will serve three years supervised release and will pay a $250 fine.
