Thanks for 'Honor Flight'

November 14, 2013

I would like to extend my gratitude and praise to the members of Hospice of Southern Illinois as well as the sponsors and supporters of the Honor Flight movie.

Although I did not serve during World War II, I enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 and served until 1981.This was done with honor and appreciation for being a citizen of the United States of America.

The entire program on Sunday was accomplished in a truly professional manner and everyone in attendance was treated with respect. Deep appreciation was bestowed upon every one of us for serving this great country of ours.

I always had a deep respect for the hospice program, but their act of kindness supporting the Honor Flight increased my support of their outreach program. I would like to mention a few names but I would be remiss because it was truly a team effort.

Special thanks to O'Fallon High School Air Force Junior ROTC, they are our future military leaders.
