A Wood River woman died Saturday at Anderson Hospital from injuries she suffered in a motorcycle crash a month earlier.

Lora F. Wright, 63, of 1381 Miland St., was pronounced dead at 4:56 p.m. at the Maryville hospital, according to the Madison County Coroner's Office.

Her husband, Gary L. Wright, 66, died on Sept. 15, the day of the crash from blunt head and chest trauma. He was not wearing a helmet.

The coroner's office has done an autopsy but a death investigation and more microscopic work is needed to determine the final cause of death.

Funeral arrangements for Lora Wright are pending at Paynic Funeral Home in Rosewood Heights, according to the coroner's office.

Gary Wright was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson Tri Glide, with Lora Wright as a passenger, when their motorcycle collided with a vehicle at Landmark Boulevard and the Clark Bridge by Alton.

Visitation and a burial service with military honors was held for Gary Wright on Sept. 20. He served in the Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran.

The Wrights are survived by two sons, a daughter and six grandchildren.

Jeffrey Rynders, 25, of Alton, was charged in the crash. He faces two counts of aggravated driving under the influence causing death, aggravated driving under the influence and illegally possessing a controlled substance.
