Afraid this may be the future

November 22, 2013

Rarely have I ever seen such a combination of bad, horrid and disgusting news as in the Nov. 6 paper and also reading of the election of Terry McAuliffe (former Bill Clinton campaign manger) as governor of Virginia.

Illinois has become the next state to sanction same-sex marriages. Also, McAuliffe may likely swing that pivotal state to Hillary Clinton if she makes a presidential run in 2016.

Two things can be visualized to present a dismal and ugly future: Same-sex couples kissing, hugging and exchanging affection in our state and also Hillary Clinton as our next president. Those two things on the horizon indicate deterioration of our society and decline of our nation.

Winston Churchill once said: "It is a mistake to look too far ahead. Only one link in the chain of destiny can be handled at a time." Perhaps now more than ever we should bear that in mind as we look at the future.
