Think peace not bullying

November 22, 2013

It makes me sad to see that bullying has become such a major problem in our schools. We had bullies when I was growing up -- yes, the "Leave it to Beaver" generation. At recess we would all gang up on the bully and push him down in the dell. No big deal. Two Our Father's and one Hail Mary later, we were all exonerated.

During the 1960s, it was "make love not war." We flashed the peace symbol to everyone. Now all we get is the middle finger and a go (expletive deleted) yourself. What has happened? I think we should all take a day to find our inner peace and help our neighbors to find theirs. Smile, say hello, let's start using the peace sign again.
