Cardinals release spring-training schedule

The St. Louis Cardinals will play 17 spring-training games at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla., including three when they are considered the visiting team against their complex co-tenants, the Miami Marlins.

The spring season begins Feb. 28 against the Marlins and ends March 27 against the Marlins. The Cardinals will play 27 Grapefruit League games.

St. Louis will tune up for its regular-season opener March 31 at Cincinnati by playing its Class AAA affiliate, the Memphis Redbirds, on March 28 at Auto Zone Park.

Individual tickets to games at Roger Dean Stadium will go on sale at 9 a.m. Jan. 11 at the stadium box office or via the Internet at cardinals.com or rogerdeanstadium.com.

Spring-training season-ticket plans, six-plus games miniplans and group tickets are on sale now by calling (561) 775-1818.

Tickets prices remain the same as the past two seasons: $28 for field box, $26 for loge box, $15 for bleachers and $15 for berm (sold only on day of game).

Saturday and Sunday home games are designated as "premium." The game against the Red Sox on March 5 is "super-premium." On premimum and super-premimum days, there will be an additional fee per ticket.

Cardinals pitchers and catchers report to spring training Feb. 12, with the first workout scheduled for Feb. 13. The full squad will convene Feb. 17 and work out for the first time Feb. 18.
