Drivers in downtown St. Louis near the Gateway Arch should watch for new lane closures starting Monday, Dec. 9.
Crews are working on Walnut Street in preparation for removing and widening the bridge next year for the Park Over the Highway project, which starts in April.
One lane of the Walnut Street bridge over Interstate 70 and the left lane on northbound Memorial Drive will be closed around the clock. Weeknights from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., workers will close an additional left lane on northbound Memorial Drive and two left lanes on southbound Memorial Drive for the work.
The Walnut Street bridge over I-70 will be closed overnight for work. The closures will continue on Walnut and Memorial until sometime in the spring of 2014.
