Pride doesn't need a parade

December 5, 2013

I'm 82 years young and I have decided to come out. I'm finally ready to admit what I've kept to myself for so long.

I'm a very happy (read gay), proud, heterosexual male. I want everyone to know that what I do in my bedroom is my business, not the world's. How I live my life is my business, not the world's. Who I associate with is my business, not the world's. Who I love is my business, not the world's.

Others are not going to see me walking in a heterosexual parade. So why don't they keep their business where it belongs? Get the point?

Illinois may say it is OK for same-sex people to marry. I'm pretty sure God has a different idea -- and I agree with God.
