St. Louis Film Critics Awards announced

The St. Louis Film Critics, the professional association of working film critics in the Louis-area, announced the winners of its annual St. Louis Film Critics Awards on Monday.

The yearly awards are given to recognize the best in cinema for the year.

The official winners of, and runners-up for, the 2013 St. Louis Film Critics Awards are:

Best Film

Best Director

Steve McQueen ("12 Years a Slave")

Best Actor
