Three teens charged in man's beating in Shiloh

Three teenagers have been charged in connection with beating a 33-year-old man in Shiloh in October.

Marcus Williams, 18, of Shiloh; Brandon M. Eichelberger, 17, of O'Fallon; and Daron J. Cooper, 17, of Belleville were all charged Monday with aggravated battery in a public place, a Class 3 felony, and mob action, a Class 4 felony.

Shiloh Police Detective Sgt. Kyle Bade said the victim and the suspects were known to each other.

"We are not really sure what the incident was about," he said.

Williams was taken into custody Monday by Shiloh Police Department and is being held in the St. Clair County Jail on $50,000 bail. Eichelberger and Cooper remain at large.

Shiloh Police Department responded to the 2000 block of Sierra Court for a battery that had just occurred on Oct. 29. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville for serious injuries to his face. The three suspects fled the scene.

Bade said the victim was released from the hospital that same day and has been recovering at home.

Williams was taken into custody Monday by Shiloh Police Department and is being held in the St. Clair County Jail on $50,000 bail. Eichelberger and Cooper remain at large.

St. Clair County Judge Brian Babka set their bail at $50,000 each as well.
