Correct other than that

December 20, 2013

The letter Dec. 11, "Profile in leadership," by Joseph Reichert had numerous errors. The first moon landing was July 20, 1969, not the "first and only" as there were four other moon landings after that.

About getting bogged down in Vietnam after President Kennedy was supposedly shot by Lee Harvey Oswald: Someone asked Bobby Kennedy later about Vietnam and he said JFK would not have pulled out of Vietnam.

Kennedy did not write "Profiles in Courage"; Ted Sorenson, Kennedy's top aide, wrote that book for Kennedy.

Kennedy almost got court-marshaled for letting his boat be run over by a much slower boat.

At least Reichert didn't have as many errors as Gene Robke always has in his letters.
