Metro-east residents can only dream of a white Christmas

News-DemocratDecember 23, 2013

It doesn't look like there are going to be any snowmen in the metro-east this Christmas.

But that doesn't mean it's not going to be frosty.

The high temperature is expected to reach only 26 Monday under mostly sunny skies. Then the mercury will plunge into the single digits with an overnight low of 7.

Sunny skies and a high temperature of 22 are expected for Christmas Eve. The overnight low will dip down to 20.

On Christmas Day the high will reach 40. There is a chance of flurries, but no accumulation is expected.

The temperature will dip to 23 Wednesday night. The high on Saturday and Sunday will be 35 under mostly sunny skies.
