Politicians must be held accountable for actions

December 26, 2013

My thoughts go back to a senior citizen from Venice who called me several years ago about a serious problem she was having: losing her home due to the former Madison County treasurer's rigged tax auctions. She said she trusted me to help her. I told her that I would contact the BND but that she would have to tell them her problem because they investigate this type of corruption. We are never too old to learn what is going on. Trust must be earned, and when you do the crime you pay the fine.
