Group calls for probe into county drug scandal

News-DemocratDecember 27, 2013

Advocates pushing for federal and state authorities to investigate the drug scandal at the St. Clair County Building rallied Friday morning outside the courthouse.

The rally was the second held by the group Metro-East Citizens for Social and Economic Progress.

The group formed after the cocaine overdose death of St. Clair County Associate Circuit Judge Joe Christ and arrest of former Circuit Judge Michael Cook on federal drug and weapons charges.
