Police continue search for missing Collinsville man

December 30, 2013

— Friends and family are expected to hold a candlelight vigil tonight in downtown Collinsville, waiting for news of Joseph Hartsoe.

The gathering will begin at 7 p.m. in front of the Family Video store on St. Louis Road.

Hartsoe, 22, has been missing since Nov. 25. He was last seen leaving the home of a relative, according to Collinsville Police Det. Mark Kuechle.

"We have spoken to a lot of people and tracked down a lot of leads," Kuechle said. However, police have not been able to locate the missing man.

Hartsoe has a history of substance abuse, and police consider him an endangered missing person.

Hartsoe was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, dark blue jacket and dark gray coat.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Collinsville Police at 344-2131, or the anonymous tip line at 301-4444.
