Better dead than well-read?

January 7, 2014

Well, I see we have another "under-informed voter" among us. In your Sound-off section another liberal who has no clue as to what the tea party is or stands for spouted off about the actions of Sen. Ted Cruz.

The writer stated that he or she was old enough to remember the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s. You could almost wring out the newspaper from the teardrops this person shed while writing their gibberish about how it affected the entertainment industry, etc.

Since you are old enough to remember, you should know the difference between facts and fiction. McCarthy investigated the U.S. Army and the State Department, and was later vindicated and proven to be 90 percent accurate in his finding that they were both rife with communists.

The entertainment industry, (now pay attention here), was investigated by the House un-American Activity Committee, which was chaired and conducted by (wait for it) Democrats. This committee was started in 1946, long before McCarthy was even elected to the Senate.

I don't understand what you libs have against the tea party. Let's see now, they want to abide by the Constitution, stop stealing our money, reduce the size of our monstrous government, restore our liberty and then leave everyone the hell alone. Subversives!

What you should be concerned about is the uber commie who occupies the Oval Office, and what he is doing to "change" our once great country. Get a clue before you sound off.
