Wisdom, or pride?

January 9, 2014

In letter writer Ginny Kiernan Dahlberg's diatribe against Tim Buchanan's letter, she chose words such as, "The usual determined ignorance of the check-your-brains-at-the-church-door folks," "so-called Christian businesses," "that same ignorance."

At the end of her letter (I can hear her thumping her chest) she proclaims herself to be a Christian -- obviously not one of the check-your-brains-at-the-church-door folks.

Despite her best effort, the Lord gives us wisdom, knowledge= and understanding.

A constant dripping on a day of steady rain and a contentious woman are alike. The book of Proverbs states: Only by pride comes contention: but with the well-advised is wisdom.
