East Side rolls past Granite City

Senior guard Darrion Beane scored 13 points and freshman center Jeremiah Tilmon added 12 as East St. Louis (11-4, 3-1) overwhelmed Granite City 55-35 in a Southwestern Conference game on Friday.

Kenny Berry led Granite City (2-10, 0-5) with 16 points.

Central 51, Columbia 46

Senior guard Jacob Timmermann scored a game-high 22 points as Central (10-4, 3-1) held off Columbia's determined upset bid in a Cahokia Conference game.

Logan Kohrmann added nine points for Central while Ryan Gudeman led Columbia (5-6, 1-2) with 14 points and Korbin Farmer had 13.

Nashville 59, Pinckneyville 45

Nashville (10-5, 4-0) remained unbeaten in the River-to-River Conference's Mississippi Division thanks to a 25-point outing by sophomore Royce Newman and 13 more from Keegan Anderson.

Waterloo 61, Mascoutah 45

Rick Wiegand tossed in 19 points and Shane Lenhardt contributed 15 as Waterloo (6-5, 2-1) posted a Mississippi Valley Conference victory over Mascoutah (3-12, 1-2).

Alex Oltmann topped Mascoutah with 16 points.
