Weather roller coaster continues: Warm Monday, flurries possible Tuesday

News-DemocratJanuary 13, 2014

Metro-east residents will be treated Monday to an unseasonably warm day with a high temperature of 51, about 10 degrees higher than normal for this time of year.

Skies will be sunny, but wind gusts of up to 20 miles an hour will make it seem cooler.

The temperature will drop to 32 overnight and on Tuesday the high will be 44 with gusting winds of up to 33 miles an hour. There is a 30 percent chance of rain turning to snow flurries later.

Tuesday night the temperature will sink to 22 and it won't get much warmer during the day Wednesday -- with an expected high of 29 degrees under sunny skies.
