Dear Abby: My wife and I have reached a milestone in our lives. We are both 67 and have decided to start a new family. I know that we would be taking on a huge responsibility at our age, but after long and deliberate thought, we feel this is the right thing to do.
Here's my dilemma. She wants to undergo in vitro fertilization, and go through the routine nine-month pregnancy process with natural childbirth. Although this would probably cost upwards of $100,000, we don't feel that this will be a burden to the taxpayers, what with the advent of Obamacare and all of the wonderful freebies and goodies it promises to everyone. After all, those youngsters are paying for it, right?
