News-DemocratJanuary 17, 2014

A man who on Thursday robbed an O'Fallon eyeglasses store may be responsible for a similar robbery in Shiloh just minutes before, according to police.

According to police reports, at 10 a.m. a suspect walked into All About Eyes at 1222 Central Park Drive, grabbed the glasses and fled. He was described as a black man with a beard who was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt, jeans and tennis shoes.

Police said the same suspect may have been involved in a similar crime at Clarkson Eye Center in Greenmount Crossing in Shiloh just minutes before the O'Fallon robbery.

Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call the O'Fallon Police Department at 624-4545.
