SWIC to consider construction contracts

The Southwestern Illinois College Board of Trustees on Wednesday will consider a pair of construction contracts totaling more than $250,000.

The work for both pacts is related to the Career Center and Veterans Service project planned at SWIC's Belleville main campus.

The first is a bid from Calhoun Construction of Belleville for $174,872.

The second is a professional services contract with Ittner architects for $79,130. Of that total $27,260 will go toward the Career Center and Veterans Service project. The remaining $51,870 will go toward renovations to the Information Sciences Building at the Belleville main campus.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Belleville campus in the Liberal Arts Building conference center, in rooms 2311-2313.
