New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Rangers and Nashville Predators exchanged defensemen on Wednesday.

Michael Del Zotto will head to the Music City, while Kevin Klein is on his way to Manhattan.

Del Zotto, who has been unhappy in New York of late, posted two goals and 11 points in 42 contests this season. The left-handed shooting blueliner departs the Rangers having totaled 26 scores and 121 points over 292 games in parts of five NHL campaigns. He is scheduled to be a restricted free agent in July.

Klein, a hard-hitting rearguard, has totaled just one goal and two points in 47 games this season, but ranks second on the club with 94 blocked shots. He will move on from the Nashville organization having totaled 16 goals and 82 points over 403 games since making his debut late in the 2005-06 campaign.

The 29-year-old, who shoots right-handed, is signed through the 2017-18 season.
