Here, three home-schooled sisters from East St. Louis give a dramatization of Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous "I Have A Dream Speech" as the concluding performance of a 90 minute observance of Martin Luther King day at Southwestern Illinois College. From left, they are: Morrocca McGeebey, 14; Jochabay McGeebey, 15; and Mahdina McGeebey, 13. There were other speakers, including U.S. Congressman Bill Enyart who recalled racism issues from his childhood. He was introduced by President Georgia Costello. Members of the New Life In Christ Drama Ministry portrayed an interview of King’s sister and daughter by a newspaper reporter. The event was held in SWIC’s theater, and also included video clips of King’s famous marches in Washington D.C. plus scenes from Birmingham, Alabama.
