Pay respects at visitation

January 24, 2014

This time of year there are many deaths. Visitations are held for the deceased. It is a time for folks to pay their respect to the family of deceased in a courteous and respectful manner.

All too often some want to make such an inquisition or life history project. This is inappropriate and in poor taste for the family. It also shows disrespect to all others waiting in the viewing line. Some families are declining visitations due to inappropriate conduct of such visitors.

Having been a family member at a visitation, I can attest to the poor conduct of some visitors. Refrain from such.
