Last day to register to vote in primary election is Feb. 18

The last day for voter registration to ensure you can vote in the primary election in March will be Feb. 18, according to the St. Clair County Clerk Thomas Holbrook.

Anyone eligible can register between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the St. Clair County Clerk's Office in the St. Clair County Building, located at 10 Public Square in Belleville. You may also register to vote at any city hall, township office or public library.

Residents who are 17 but will turn 18 on or before the general election on Nov. 4 are eligible to register.

Residents who have changed their name or address also need to register to vote. For more information, call Holbrook at 618-277-6600, extension 2377.
