ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

FRIDAY, JAN. 24

Lee E. Byrum Jr., 62, of 2351 Lorraine Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school on or about Jan. 23, on or about Jan. 17, on or about Jan. 21 by St. Clair County sheriff. Byrum allegedly, while within 1,000 feet of a school, being Wirth Middle School located at 1900 Mousette Lane, Cahokia, knowingly delivered to a confidential source, less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine; while within 1,000 feet of a school being Wirth Middle School located at 1900 Mousette Lane, Cahokia, knowingly possessed with the intent to deliver, one gram or more but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Luvina Smith, 55, of 3862 East Broadway, Alorton, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on or about Jan. 24 by Brooklyn police. Smith allegedly, had in her possession more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Tiffany A. Wann, 22, of 1009 Thomas St., P.O. Box 89, St. Libory, arrested on suspicion of felon possession, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and violation of order of protection on or about Jan. 23 by Swansea police. Wann allegedly, a person who has been convicted of a felony, knowingly possessed a Smith and Wesson 38 special revolver; knowingly carried a Smith and Wesson 38 special revolver at a time when she was not on her own land, or in her own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and accessible; knowingly carried in a vehicle a Smith and Wesson 38 special revolver at a time when she was not on her own land, or in her own abode, or fixed place of business, and had not been issued a current, valid FOID Card; having been served with or obtained knowledge of the contents of an order of protection, by Circuit Court, did knowingly commit an act which was prohibited by the order of protection in that said defendant came within 500 feet of Byron O'Neal, a protected person. Defendant had been previously convicted of Aggravated Battery on July 7, 2010.

MONDAY, JAN. 27

Derrick Boyster, 25, of 206 N. 10th St., Coulterville, arrested on suspicion of robbery on or about Jan. 23 by St. Clair County sheriff. Boyster allegedly, took property, being U.S. currency and a ZTX Straight Talk Phone, from Aspin M. Walta, by the use of force.

Emily J. Joiner, 22, 10881 Tilden Road, Coulterville, arrested on suspicion of robbery on or about Jan. 23 by St. Clair County sheriff. Joiner allegedly, took property, being U.S. current and a ZTX Straight Talk Phone, from Aspin M. Walta, by the use of force.

Natasha J. Simmons, 35, of 1512 Jerome Lane, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Jan. 24 by O'Fallon police. Simmons allegedly, took merchandise from Walmart, 1530 W. Highway 50, O'Fallon, being 15 cans of Enfamil Newborn Baby Formula, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Retail Theft on Nov. 15, 2012.

Andrea L. Casper, 31, of 1106 St. Helena, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing on or about Jan. 24 by St. Clair County sheriff. Casper allegedly, assisted in the production or the manufacture of 400 grams or more of methamphetamine or a substance containing methamphetamine and the defendant knowingly did so in a structure where a child under the age of 18, who is incapable of adequately providing for his/her own health and personal care is endangered by the manufacture of methamphetamine.

William A. Moore, 30, of 703 Pershing Blvd., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer disobeying two or more official traffic control devices, aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer causing property damage in excess of $300, two counts of endangering the life of a child and driving on a revoked license on or about Jan. 24 by St. Clair County sheriff. Moore allegedly, while operating a motor vehicle, a 2002 Ford Taurus, was given a visual signal by a police officer, Deputy Scot A. Pirtle, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said 2002 Ford Taurus to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being the red light at 15th Street and Missouri Avenue and the red light at 13th and Missouri Avenue, while traveling west on Missouri Avenue; when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant caused property damage in excess of $300, that being the damage to a 2007 Saturn, when he struck it in the rear end; knowingly caused the life of a male minor, date of birth June 19, 2012, to be endangered in that said defendant fled or eluded police in a 2002 Ford Taurus in a manner which caused a vehicle accident while the minor was a passenger of the vehicle; knowingly caused the life of a female minor, date of birth Aug. 29, 2007, to be endangered, in that said defendant fled or eluded police in a manner which caused a vehicle accident while the minor was a passenger of the vehicle; drove a 2002 Ford Taurus on Missouri Avenue in East St. Louis, at a time when his driver's license was revoked.

Vernon C. Johnson, 27, 414 N. 23rd St., 615, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle against a peace officer on or about Jan 25 by Alton and Southern Railroad. Johnson allegedly, in committing an assault, operated a motor vehicle, a 2013 Toyota Camry, in a way which placed Patrolman Matt Backer of Alton & Southern Railway Police, a peace officer, in reasonable apprehension of being struck by a moving vehicle in that after driving the wrong way on a one-way exit ramp, and after attempt by Patrolman Matt Backer to initiate a traffic stop, Vernon C. Johnson made a U-turn facing his vehicle in the direction of Patrolman Matt Backer, and drove toward the officer, causing the officer to dive back into his vehicle to avoid being struck by the oncoming vehicle.

Douglas C. Donley, 39, of homeless, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle on or about Jan. 25 by Smithton police. Donley allegedly, a person not entitled to possession of said vehicle, possessed a red 2005 Ford Focus of Abby Schwaegel knowing it to have been stolen.

Andrew C. Schmittling, 29, of 1701 Mascoutah Ave., Lot 18, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of domestic batter, subsequent offense on or about Jan. 26 by Belleville police. Schmittling allegedly, caused bodily harm to Michelle Schmittling, a family/household member, in that said defendant struck Michelle Schmittling in the face with his hand. Defendant had been previously convicted of Domestic Battery on April 29, 2003.

Eric D. Pack, 26, of 410 Coal St., Caseyville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful restraint, two counts of domestic battery and interference reporting domestic violence on or about Jan. 26 by Caseyville police. Pack allegedly, detained Christina Pack in that he repeatedly pulled Christina Pack into a room; knowingly made physical contact with Christina Pack, a family/household member, in that he pushed Christina Pack; slammed her head against a wall; prevented her from calling 911 in that he removed the battery from her cellular phone.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 29

Brandon L. Hood, 23, of 1634 Gaty Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of burglary on or about Jan. 25 by Washington Park police. Hood allegedly, entered into the building of Willie Lee, located at 1641 N. 48th St., Washington Park, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Arlanda R. Johnson, 42, of 1637 N. 46th St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of burglary on or about Jan. 25 by Washington Park police. Johnson allegedly, entered into the building of Willie Lee, located at 1641 N. 48th St., Washington Park, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Marcus M. Lee, 24, of 1380 N. 40th St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of burglary on or about Jan. 25 by Washington Park police. Lee allegedly, entered into the building of Willie Lee, located at 1641 N. 48th St., Washington Park, wit the intent to commit theft therein.

Levar M. Jackson, 33, of 406 N. 58th St., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver's license is revoked, subsequent on or about Jan. 25 by Fairview Heights police. Jackson allegedly, drove a red 1997 Dodge Dakota on Illinois Route 161 in Fairview Heights, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been convicted of Driving While license is Revoked on April 26, 2005.

Clinton Walker, 40, of 2746 Windsor St., Memphis, Tenn., arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about Jan. 26 by East St. Louis police. Walker allegedly, carried in a vehicle a .40 caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business. Defendant had not been issued a current, valid FOID Card.

Caleb R. Murray, 21, of 2021 N. 61 St., Washington Park, arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer and driving under the influence by St. Clair County sheriff. Murray allegedly, while operating a motor vehicle, a yellow Chevrolet Monte Carlo, was given a visual signal by a police officer, Sean McPeak, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said yellow Chevrolet Monte Carlo to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being two stop signs; drive a yellow Chevrolet Monte Carlo on N. 38th St., in East St. Louis, while there was an amount of a drug, substance or compound in his breath, blood, or urine resulting from the unlawful use or consumption of cannabis.

Justin L. Garner, 20, of 1311 N. 53rd St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Jan. 27 by Fairview Heights police. Garner allegedly, took merchandise from TJ Maxx, 10850 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, being men's underwear and a shirt, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Theft on June 27, 2013.

Justin J. Ewing, 29, of 315 St. Leonard St., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery on or about Jan. 27 by Cahokia police. Ewing allegedly, made physical contact with a female minor, date of birth March 27, 1996, a pregnant person, in that he punched the female minor in the face; made physical contact with a male minor, date of birth Aug. 6, 1999, a family/household member, in that he punched the male minor in the face.

Orlando M. Harris, 22, of 1227 Williams St., Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of weapon on or about Dec. 3, 2013 by East St. Louis police. Harris allegedly, carried in a vehicle a .45 caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, and the said defendant was engaged in a misdemeanor violation of the cannabis control act.

Marshall D. Bradley, 46, 2904 West Boulevard, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of theft, subsequent on or about Jan. 26 by East St. Louis police. Bradley allegedly, took property of Fresh Warehouse, located at 2700 McCasland Ave., East St. Louis, being metal beams, total value not in excess of $500. Defendant has been previously convicted of Theft from a Person on Nov. 6, 1986.
