There are no 'ex' Marines

February 1, 2014

The article on the front page of the BND Local Section B on Jan 15, (bottom half of page), "Lebanon hires Ex-Marine as Police Chief," is in very poor context. We who have served in the U.S. Marine Corp. insist on being called either Marines or former Marines. There is no such thing as an Ex-Marine. I am sure the term ex insulted Scott Abbott. Has Jacqueline Lee (article writer) never heard the term "Once a Marine always a Marine?" Where has she been?
