Watch your step: Freezing rain is possible tonight

News-DemocratFebruary 1, 2014

The forecast calls for a chance of snow and freezing rain Saturday night.

A winter weather advisory warning of ice in the metro-east expires at midnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow and freezing rain are likely before 3 a.m. Sunday, then there is a slight chance of snow between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Total nighttime ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible and a nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible.

The overnight low will dip down to 20.

Sunday and Monday will be sunny with highs just below freezing.

But things will change on Tuesday when snow is likely throughout the day and into the night.
