Good reason for young not to sign up

February 2, 2014

Late night comic Jimmy Kimmel and some conservative commentators are wondering why the Obama administration would design a government health care plan that relies on people under 30 to enroll and thus support less healthy older people while at the same time allowing under age 26 to stay on their parents' health care plan. Seems like they took away about half of their eligible enrollees with this scheme. No wonder young people aren't signing up. Why pay for something you can get for free or at a very low cost through your parents. So he's supposed to be the smartest guy in the room? I don't think so.
