ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

THURSDAY, JAN. 30

Brittany E. Cannon, 26, of 2802 Rutger St., St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of forgery and theft on or about Aug. 22, 2012, by Belleville police. Cannon allegedly, with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered to Regions Bank, located at 210 E. Washington St., East St. Louis, a document apparently capable of defrauding another, in that it was purported to have been made by another, being a representative of Blake Law Group, a check drawn on the Regions Bank of Belleville, dated Aug. 22, 2012 and a check dated Sept. 20, 2012 , payable to Brittany Cannon in the amount of $2,000 and $3,000, knowing the document to have been thus made; knowingly took property of Blake Law Group, being U.S. currency, total value in excess of $500, said offenses constituting a series of acts performed at different times in furtherance of a single intention and design.

friday, jan. 31

Michael J. Foster, 31, of 59 Helen Court, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of two counts of domestic battery, subsequent offense on or about Jan. 27 by East St. Louis police. Foster allegedly, made physical contact with a female minor with the initials M.F. and date of birth June 29, 2000, a family/household member, in that said defendant struck her in the head and neck; and grabbed her and pushed her against a wall. Defendant had been previously convicted of Domestic Battery on June 26, 2007.

Donna D. Kern, 48, of 4101 State Route 13, Freeburg, arrested on suspicion of grain violation and theft between Feb. 16, 2011 and Oct. 8, 2011 by Cahokia police. Kern allegedly, altered records, being grain documents of Cahokia Grain, located at 3 Cargill Elevator Road, Cahokia, without the permission of the Illinois Department of Agriculture; knowingly took property of Cahokia Grain, being U.S. currenty, total vlaue in excess of $10,000 but not in excess of $100,000, in that she caused warehouse receipts to reflect better grades of grain being sold tby Joe Kehrer to Cahokia Grain, causing Cahokia to pay more than the actural value of the grain, said offenses constituting a series of acts performed at different times in furtherance of a single intention and design.

Javonte I. Settles, 20, of 316 N. 39th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on or about Jan. 28 by Belleville police. Settles allegedly, entered intot he dwelling place of Leroy Forness, located at 718 Emma, Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Johnny E. Squires, 48, of homeless, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Jan. 30 by Belleville police. Squires allegedly, took merchandise from Wal-Mart, located at 2600 Green Mount Commons in Belleville, being 3 N 1 Cooking System, a Bissell Carpet Cleaner, toilet paper, miscellaneous food items, bedding, stuffed animal, total retail value in excess of $300.

Tyrone Wingate, 45, of 747 N. 61st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of theft subsequent offense on or about Jan. 16 by O'Fallon police. Wingate allegedly, took merchance from Circle K, located at 320 W. State St., O'Fallon, being 2 bottles of Grey Goose Vodka, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Robbery on March 18, 2002.

Darrin M. Bumpus, 48, of 882 N. 81st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent and resisting a police officer on or about Jan. 30 by Belleville police. Bumpus allegedly, took merchandise from Wal-Mart, located at 2601 Belleville Commons, Belleville, being liquor, bears and other assorted items, total retail value not in excess of $300; resisted the performance of Det. Phil KOch of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Darrin Bumpus for Retail Theft, knowing Det. Phil Koch to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he pulled away from Det. Koch and refused to stop for Det. Koch after being told to do so multiple times. Defendant had been previously convicted of Retail Theft, Subsequent on Dec. 23, 2013.

Demarcus M. Simmons, 27, of 1133 St. Margaret, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of retail theft subsequent on or about Jan. 30 by Cahokia police. Simmons allegedly, took merchandise from Wal-0Mart, located at 1411 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being a No Boundaries thermal shirt, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Theft on June 21, 2011.

Robert T. Whitworth, 30, of 23 Hanover, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful restraint, domestic battery and interference reporting domestic violence on or abotu Jan. 19 by Cahokia police. Whitworth allegedly, detained Michaela Myers in that he handcuffed her and refused to allow her to leave his residence, made physical contact with Michaela Myers, a family/household member, in that said defendant pushed Michaela Myers against a wall, attempted to prevent her from making a report to a law enforcement official in that he knocked a phone out of her hands.

Willia L. Carroll Jr., 50 of 414 N. 74th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of failure to report annually and failure to register temporary domicile as a sex offender on or about Jan. 29 by St. Clair County sheriff. Carroll allegedly, a sex offender, knowingly failed to renew registration in accordance with the prvisions of the Sex Offender Registration Ace, with the Sheriff of St. Clair County, within one year of last registration; knowingly failed to register in accordance with the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration Act, with the Sheriff of St. Clair County, a temporary domicile, where he had resided for a period of time of 3 days or more during a calendar year.

Lee E. Byrum Jr., 62, of 2351 Lorraine Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school on or about Jan. 23, on or about Jan. 17, on or about Jan. 21 by St. Clair County sheriff. Byrum allegedly, while within 1,000 feet of a chool, being Wirth Middle School located at 1900 Mousette Lane, Cahokia, knowingly delivered to a confidential source, less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine; while within 1,000 feet of a school being Wirth Middle School located at 1900 Mousette Lane, Cahokia, knowingly possessed with the intent to deliver, one gram or more but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF

Tuesday, Jan. 28

Darrion D. Brown, 19, 1001 Austin Ct., Urbana, was arrested in connection with criminal trespass to a residence by Madison County Sheriff's Department. Brown allegedly forced his way into an apartment in the 700 block of Lexington Estates Drive in Godfrey.

A rural Granite City man is jailed in Madison County after sheriff's deputies said he stole a female relative's purse and car and used her credit card.

Anthony L. Warren, 20, entered the home of the relative while she was asleep, took her purse and car keys, then took her car that was parked in the driveway, according to Madison County Sheriff's investigators.

Warren then took one of the victim's credit card from her purse and used it to make a purchase.

Warren was charged with residential burglary and unlawful use of a credit card. His bail was set at $75,000.
