Cronyism at play again

February 6, 2014

Once again the BND readers are informed of another politically connected Democrat abusing his position. Darren Suggs, a former Washington Park trustee, pleaded guilty to defrauding taxpayers for seven years. But does it really surprise anyone?

So Suggs is headed to jail and the Washington Park mayor and trustees appointed his wife to replace him. Unbelievable, but you know this is St. Clair County and it's business as per usual.

Looks like Mayor Ann Rodgers used a pay out of St. Clair County Board Chairman Mark Kern's "good ole boy playbook: Chapter 12, "the rub my back, I'll rub yours" play.

What a great example of nepotism, cronyism and arrogance that trustees Willie Macintosh, Yulonda Clark and James Madkins have shared with the youths of tomorrow. I would categorize these four as el-stupido, but that would be a compliment.
