Metro-east residents woke up to temperatures as low as 6 degrees below zero Friday morning -- and things won't get much warmer as the day goes on.
The high temperature is expected to only make it to 17 under partly sunny skies.
There is a 40 percent chance of light snow in the forecast Friday night, when the low will be 16.
On Saturday the high could crack the freezing mark and reach 33 under mostly cloudy skies. The low drop to 21.
The possibility of snow is in the forecast again Sunday with a 50 percent chance flakes will fall. The high will be 27 and overnight the temperature will plunge to 7.
